It’s inspired by a walk in the woods and a heavy shower pasted by. The light was wonderful and the waterdrops on the surface were ‘wild’.
Bad weather is beautiful too
The painting is made in a multilayered process – a method I encounter often in my work. It is made with acrylic paint on canvas and acrylic paper. The upper layer is yarn which I use to direct and mislead the eye. The form of the composition can be associated with an hourglass. The colours are intens like thunder and storm. The work gives a feeling of urge; we have to act now or it might be too late.
